Richard D Lopez is New Jersey based Illustrator, Animator and Multimedia creator.
He studied illustration at Parsons School of Design where he explored a vast array of art making techniques including Puppet fabricating, Stop-motion animation, 2d animation, illustrative painting and drawing
Richards work embodies many personalities through a variety of mixed mediums. Where most pieces can be brightly cheerful and lighthearted, they can also be dark, intimate and deeply reflective. Growing up in a culturally traditional and religious background has inspired work that deals with spirituality, identity, culture and heritage.
